The Road To Change

An extraordinary life isn’t obtained by doing ordinary things. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Success is never accidental, it is always intentional. The places where you find the biggest problems are often where you will find the most opportunity. In reality there is perhaps no one of our natural passions so hard to subdue as pride. Disguise it, struggle with it, beat it down, stifle it, mortify it as much as one pleases, it is still alive, and will every now and then peep out and show itself…For even if I could conceive that I had completely overcome it, I should probably be proud of my humility.

No matter how smart you are, or think you are, you can still have trouble navigating basic decisions in your life: how are you going to act, who are you going to be, how are you going to relate to the people that are around you. The woman I am now is not the woman I am going to be later in life. A woman goes through many different stages and the risk to remain the same is more painful than the risk to change. Dreams aren’t accomplished by complacency, dreams are accomplished by cold hard determination to make change happen. Change is the only guaranteed constancy, any other factors are uncertainty in the face of change.
